About NOTS

“I shall pass through this way but once.
If therefore there be any kindness I can show
Or any good I can do others,
Let me not defer or neglect it,
For I shall not pass this way again.”

You Can Help.

Four hours (or less) of your time will literally save lives.
Volunteering with NOTS is an easy and rewarding way to give back to our community. NOTS currently operates 7 days a week, November through March. Our doors open to guests at 9:00 PM and close at 6:30 AM. Volunteers in the center always serve in pairs on any of the following shifts:
  • 8:00 PM-11:45 PM
  • 11:45 PM-3:45 AM
  • 3:45 AM-7:00 AM
*All volunteers must consent to a background check and receive training prior to becoming a NOTS volunteer.

Established in 2017

NOTS is a designated 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded by Deacon Craig LaGier.

In 2016, four people froze to death on the streets of Carson City. In response to this tragedy, many of our local churches have banded together to form a solution: that none may die for simply being without a home.
We are grateful for all of the partnerships that we have acquired since our inception in 2017, and the enormous blessings we've received from our community.

Our Long-Term Goal

The goal of the NOTS organization is to find a permanent home where we can eventually offer our services year-round. NOTS hopes to become a hub where our community partners can connect with directly impacted individuals to provide housing and support to our guests.
